I offer different types of courses and training

Mission

my mission is to deliver professional and value for money first aid training, but also to make sure that your due diligence in selecting the correct first aid training supplier is already taken care of.

Since 1 October 2013 HSE no longer approves first aid training and qualifications – and no longer approves first aid training organisations. This means that businesses have more flexibility in how they manage their provision of first aid in the workplace.

This means that it is the employer’s duty to ensure that any training provider that they select for the purposes of first aid training is competent to deliver that training.

The H.S.E. does however give guidelines on selecting a first aid training provider. By choosing  FIFE FIRST AID TRAINING as your training provider we have covered all of the due diligence you as an employer need to consider by not only meeting but by exceeding the standards and expectations set by the H.S.E (health and safety executive) by having the following in place :-

  • the correct and in-date qualifications expected of trainers and assessors.

  • monitoring and quality assurance systems in place.

  • teaching and standards of first-aid practice.

  • work in compliance with the Assessment Principles for First Aid Qualifications

  • syllabus content; and the information included on a certificate.

  • sufficient quantity of well-maintained equipment that permits students to complete their training and assessment within the appropriate number of contact hours

  • course evaluation procedure that includes feedback from students

  • Nationally recognised and regulated qualifications, regulated by the qualification regulators - FAA though Ofqual, delivering qualifications for Scotland (SCQF) England (QCF) Wales (CQFW) Northern Ireland (CCEA)

  • policies and procedures in place.

  • all courses taught under current guidelines published by the Resuscitation Council (UK)

  • all instructors up to date with any changes in guidelines and attend CPD yearly
